The kids love flipping through the cards to find the right weather.
Since many of my students have difficulty talking, they have communication boards to help them express what they need to say. I made this one to go with our weather chart above. The children can choose 2 weather options and place the cards in the sentence at the top. When I choose someone to answer, they must read me the whole sentence, pointing to each word or picture as they go.
For a few of my students, these pictures are too small and there are too many to look at, at once. I made some bigger pictures for them, that are easier to choose from. We then hold two of them up in front of them so they can make a choice out of the two using their eyes or by pointing.
I also made a weather graph to go in their calendar books with the same co-ordinating pictures. We colour in one or two squares each day and then compare them at the end of the month. If anyone is interested in the whole packet, I have put it in my TpT store.
