We had our second visit from the Scientists in the School today. Today's topic was on water.
We experimented with sponges.
And soaked some paper. We then put crayon on paper and noticed how the water didn't soak through that.
We experimented to find out what sinks and what floats.
We made a boat.
And sailed it in a big tub.
The last centre was the best. We got to pump water and move the boats around.

Sounds like a great day! I used to work at a children's museum and they had exhibits where you could do things like that. I always thought, "This is what school should be like!" Its nice that school IS like that now, at least sometimes!
All this sinking and floating experimenting looks like so much fun! I'm inspired!
