Bubble Gum Number Match Freebie and sale

It has been so long since I gave out a freebie.  I saw these cute little bubble gum machines and knew actually what I wanted to do with them.  Here is a little number matching game for the numbers 1 to 5.  Click on the picture below to grab it.

Put the bubble gums in the correct machine.  There are 4 bubble gums for each one.  Or print out two copies for more.

If your kids need a challenge, have them put bubble gums in the machine that equal the given number.

I'm also taking part in TpT's sale.  I'm offering 20% off my whole store.  Use the promo for another 10% off. Click on the button below to head on over to my store.

Another Remake

Since I updated my forest animal literacy activities, I figured I needed to do the math activities as well.
Here they are, new and improved.  I like these graphics so much better.

I will be putting the math and literacy package including the bundle, on sale for 1/2 price until Wednesday.

Forest Animal Remake

Can you believe this winter?  When will the snow stop?  They are forecasting more snow here for Wednesday.  At least it's suppose to warm up and be above freezing.  Here is the front of my house.  My son is standing across our street where our mailbox is. He's 13 and almost 5 feet tall.  At least our mailbox is now dug out.

All this cold weather has left me uninspired and in a bit of rut. Yesterday I was looking through my store, trying to find some inspiration.  I don't know why I thought I might find some there, but anyway,  I came across this.

Oh my.  I made this back in 2011 and wow, I feel like I've come a long way since then.  Back then, clip art was sparse and I didn't know all the things I know now.  I didn't even realize I had a typo in the title.  Notice it says "sheep".  How embarrassing.

Well I decided that this little product needed a makeover.
And here they are.

I'm so much happier with the new look.

I've also bundled them all together.

I am going to give one of the bundles away.  Leave me a comment and your email and when I get up in the morning, I'll pick a winner.

A Special Kind of Class Loves TpT

I love TpT and I'm so excited to be doing a special giveaway with my Freebielicious friends.  I'm going to be giving away a $10 TpT gift certificate to one lucky winner.  And that's not all!  Every Freebielicious author
will be giving away a $10 gift certificate and on the Freebielicious blog we giving away even bigger TpT gift certificates.

Why do I love TpT?  Well there are a couple of reasons.  When I first started selling things 3 years ago, I honestly never thought anyone would buy my things.  I was totally shocked when I sold my first item.  Little did I know at the time how important both the extra income and the support and friendships I have made through TpT would mean to me.

If you follow my blog on a regular basis, then you know my husband is sick.  He has, ulcerative colitis, and at the beginning of October of this year, he had to have all of his large intestine removed.  He had complications during the surgery and has had trouble adjusting to life with an ileostomy. He now also has blood clots and rheumatoid arthritis because of some of the medication that he was on.   For my family, this has been the one of most difficult times in our life, both financially and emotionally.  And he still has two more surgeries to go.

TpT has been my lifesaver.  When planning a lesson, I've always been able to find exactly what I needed, no matter what the subject or special occasion.  When life happens and I need something fast, I can search for the perfect item.  If I forget my file at home, I can go to the TpT web site and download it at school.  Talk about convenient.

With TpT and the help of my blogging friends, I was able to keep my boys in hockey.  This was something I did not think that I was going to be able to do this year.  Both my boys are goalies and the equipment alone is enough to break the bank.  We were extremely lucky to have our youngest on an incredible team with the best coaches and families.  While I was at the hospital or wasn't able to leave my husband alone, someone from the team would step up and take him to practices and games.

I cannot imagine what life would have been like this year without TpT and the friends that I have made because of it.

This is a small token as my thank you to you.  Please enter the giveaway below.  I hope you win.

Bright Ideas Blog Hop

I'm so glad that you stopped by today on the next stop of the Bright Ideas Blog Hop.

I thought I would share with you some of the ways that I adapt my activities to meet the needs of my special students.  You can use these with any of your activities and with any grade.

Tip #1

For children with fine motor difficulties, use magnets and cookie sheets.  The pieces don't move as easily.

 Tip #2

Use dice.  They are easier to use than spinners.

Tip #3

Use Velcro.  When using manipulatives, add Velcro to the back of the pieces.  It will stop the pieces from moving and frustrating the children.

Tip #4

For children with  visual difficulties, use manipulatives and "real" objects.  They will be more meaningful to the children.  Use ice cube trays for 10 frames and rubber/stuffed animals to represent characters in books.

Tip #5

For children unable to use a pencil, use stamps and tiles.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope I gave you a few ideas to use in your class.

For your next stop, you will be heading to my friend Maria over at Kinder-Craze.
