Peek at my week

I can't believe how fast the first week back went.  We had a New Year lunch on Friday where we counted down (at 12 noon) and watched the fireworks on youtube from Dubai.  

This week we are continuing to work on our new sight words.  Two of my 4 littles in group 2 have them all and the other two have 3 out of the 5.  I've sent home the words on their word ring so I hope they have practiced over the weekend.

This week we are introducing two word families "an" and "at".  I'm looking forward to making Lidia's CVC crowns.  I think the kids are really going to enjoy wearing them.

Peek at my Week and new unit

The weeks just seem to be flying by.  Thanksgiving has come and gone here but Christmas is just around the corner.  This week we are still talking about bears.  In math we will be working on patterning with bear counters.  Monday is Remembrance Day and we will be having an assembly to talk to the children about it's meaning.

Here is my newest unit to go with our bear theme this month.  We continue to work on retell, answering questions and making simple sentences.  In this unit we also touch on characters and settings.  This unit will be on sale for 1/2 price until Wednesday.  Grab in while it's on sale by clicking on the picture below.

A sneak peek at my week

This year I've decided to try my hand at a visual day book.  I think it will be a lot easier for a supply teacher to follow and will also help when I'm looking back, next year.

Tomorrow is the start of week two for the kids and the start of our real schedule.  We will be talking about colours and starting our calendar routine.  If you want the links, please click on the first picture and download the PDF file, it has clickable links.
