For those of you that are regular readers, you know that some of my students are totally non-verbal. This is possible of autistic children too. How do you test a child with no verbal skills? *You do not need to be able to speak to know how to read* I have created two assessment packs that I use with my students (verbal or not) when testing their sight word knowledge. They come with instructions on how to test children with limited and no verbal skills. I hope you find them useful.
